Hello



 

I am an artist, currently based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. My practice delicately explores Being. I observe and contemplate human and non-human nature, using pencil on paper as a process and language of purity and simplicity. Water continually informs my practice, more specifically; the notion of water as a physical and metaphorical connector of all life, and a reflection of the nature of Being. A slow process of focussed observation, documentation, and reflection gently lie beneath the surface of the physical artworks, amongst considerations of various Western and Eastern philosophies. I think of my drawings as contemplations, simultaneously asking and answering questions of minds, bodies, self, home, and Being.
